World Youth Chess Championships or WYCC will begin tomorrow. It is held in Antalya, Turkey. Eleven Malaysian youngsters will take part in the championship in different age group category.
Below is the schedule where the first round will kick off on Thursday, 12th November at 3.00pm Turkey's time which will be equivalent to 9.00pm Malaysian time. Basically, the time difference is 6 hours. Just add 6 hours to each time in below schedule. The last round will be played on Sunday, 22nd Nov at 10.00am Turkey's time or 4.00pm Malaysian time.
The Malaysian players with Tan Sri Ramli Ngah Talib, the MCF's president, during the flag handing ceremony held on 1st November at IIUM (International Islamic University of Malaysia). London-based Malaysian restaurant, Jom Makan, is one of the sponsors. Monetary reward awaits them - RM 5,000 for Gold medalist, RM 3,000 for Silver medalist and RM 1,000 for Bronze medalist.
