Another Malaysians in WYCC 2009??

Nurul Izzah or Kak Long

Nurul Farhana (right) or Kak Ngah

By browsing the pairings of the U10 Girls category, GiLoCatur's eyes caught a Malay name, Nurul Izzah Halim Shuhaimi, representing New Zealand. Asking Mr Google, it is confirmed that the father, Halim Shuhaimi, is a Malaysian who just happened to visit their relatives in Bangi just before flying to Turkey for the 2009 WYCC. It is not sure whether their mother is also a Malaysian or not. Besides Nurul Izzah which is the Kak Long, her younger sister, Nurul Farhana, is also participating in the WYCC 2009. She is in the U8 Girls category.

Further check, the father was the 2nd runner up of the Segamat Open back in 2006. And Nurul Izzah, who was then 6 years old, was also playing in the U12 section.

GiLoCatur would like to wish both Nuruls GOOD LUCK in the WYCC 2009.
