WOW! RM 3,000 the prize money for the Open category champion? And RM 600 for the Under-18 category champion? The highest prize as far as GiLoCatur knows for a local chess tournament. Surely, it will attract many chess masters. GiLoCatur is tempted already to plan for a long drive south after participating in 2008 and missed the 2009 edition. But is it national-rated event? It would be wonderful if it is.
