45th Chess Olympiad 2024 Budapest
Surely as a chess enthusiast and former chess blogger, GiLocatur followed the just concluded 45th Chess Olympiad which is held in Budapest , Hungary.
Not many Malaysians know, GiLoCatur believes, about Budapest as well as Hungary.
In terms of chess, for GiLoCatur, Hungary is mostly famous with the Polgar Sisters - Susan Polgar, Sofea & Judit Polgar!
Both Susan and his younger sister Judit have broken so many records. Both are very well known chess legends.
For GiLoCatur, their parents especially the father, Mr Laszlo Polgar, should be given the credit for making his three daughters legendary chess players.
GiLoCatur had used his thick chess book when teaching own kids, three children as well, during their early chess playing years.
GiLoCatur followed Chessbase India youtube hosted by Sagar bhai and Amruta Mokal. Indian 69th Grandmaster, Harshit Raja, joined them as the commentator.
Surely, the channel focuses on the Indian Teams - both the Open and Women. GiLoCatur learned lots of chess insights not only from the two hosts and Harshit bhai, but also from other top chess players like Anish Giri and Judit Polgar.
What an experience for GiLoCatur to follow the ups and downs, challenges and sweet victories by the Indian teams as well as follow the Malaysian teams, both the Open and the Women teams.
